I don't consider that roll away from Joel Freeman on hole 3 that unlucky. He threw a disc that was too overstable and landed the opposite angle of the hill side. That kind of shot will roll away more often than not. When playing disc golf in the mountains, you gotta match the angle of the disc to the angle of the slope.

The only reason to play the top position on hole 8 is if you want to throw to 9 from the alt tee that is up there. It gives you another shot back across the valley.

This course proves that there needs to be a mountain type of course on tour. The greens are also a way bigger factor here, it’s not just simply laying up for par when you know you can’t birdie. It really makes you think even on the layups. Definitely need more of that on tour.
